Introducing iStockTrack for the Web

Do you want to provide Internet access to your shareholders on their holdings and status?  Allow them to correct their address or phone number?  Would you like to be able to provide access to company officers to run their own reports on overall share standings, holdings, shareholders,  insider trading, proxy status, splits, stock dividends or dozen of other reports?  

iStockTrack will give you all of these capabilities and more.  iStockTrack  is currently being developed and will be introduced at the Securities Transfer Association (STA) Conference in Palm Beach in October.

This web software can free up the time of your Investor Services team by cutting down on telephone calls and time spent providing reports and statements. Issuers can print reports on demand; shareholders can review their status, update their own address and phone number and print statements.

The Transfer agent or issuer can control which capabilities are available to issuers and to shareholders.

Security and privacy were major concerns in developing iStockTrack.  Besides providing for user names and passwords, all requests are logged and confirming emails are sent to anyone who makes a change to an account. 

Glossary of Corporate Stock Terms

We have compiled a glossary of general corporate stock-related terms we feel will be especially useful if you are new to the transfer business.

Stock Split
Increase or decrease in a corporation's number of outstanding shares of stock without any change in the shareholders' equity or the aggregate market value at the time of the split. Directors of a corporation might authorize a split to decrease or increase the per share price.  A Stock Split can be one-for-one or a Forward or Reverse split -- the number of shares after the split can be either more than the initial number of shares or less. 

Dividend
Distribution of earnings to shareholders, prorated by class of security and paid in the form of money, stock, scrip, or, rarely, company products or property. The amount is decided by the Board of Directors and is usually paid quarterly.

FAQ of the Month

Q. After creating a reverse split, I am unable to print my new certificates, what do I do next? 

A. Log the return of the original certificates before printing the new certificates by going to Dividend à Return Certificates.

Q. What type of check do I need in order to print checks from StockTrack? 

A. StockTrack automatically installs a check layout that is designed to work with Deluxe Business Forms multi-purpose laser jet checks.  The product number is 81013. (To order checks call 1-800-336-4168).   However the layout is modifiable and can be modified to use any check form you want.
